Computer issue...
Re: Computer issue...
When I read the properties it says about 97,9 Mo are used. But there's nothing on the drive. You may well be right on that one. I'm going to try to see what those are.
That makes me think something is weird.
The files are visible on the smaller partition, but what is weird is that they should be shown on the bigger "data" partition. The smaller partition should actually be the old system partition & the files should be on the bigger one.

Re: Computer issue...
I tried to make hidden files show to no avail. I don't dare format the partition because there should actually be stuff on it.
I've received my 2 WD 4To SE drives to install for my data, but I should first settle this. I got all my Il2 & Rfactor skins on that drive

Re: Computer issue...
First, remove new 2TB drive.
See if it returns to normal.
If all is good with new drive removed back up
all your important stuff to an external drive or another PC.
Then remove the old drives and do a fresh install to a partitioned and formatted 2 tb drive.
You might want to consider a SSD drive.
Solid state is faster and more reliable than any mechanical disc drive ever was.
Raw data transfer rate is nearly the same, bu that don't tell the story at all.
Seek time and the arm moving does not exist in a SSD.
Windows 7 boots from cold dead to full usable desktop in 15 seconds here with a SSD.
It used to take 45 seconds then you waited for a minute or more for it to get it's shit together.
A non stalling web search in 15 seconds from a cold boot!

Re: Computer issue...
I don't want to go SSD.
My boot partition is 2 WD 100RPM drives in raid 0 and it's FAST to boot. I don't feel the need to make it boot faster.
I've just got 2 4GB drives, so i'll open the box and do what you suggested when I have some free time, before installing the 2 4GB drives in raid 1 for files storage.
Right now I work 12-13h a day 5 to 6 days a week so it might be a while, because I sleep the rest of the time.
But I'll definately do that when I open the box.
Thanks,
Nic

From the time I push the button it's 35 seconds with windows ready to go. I can way that much.

Re: Computer issue...
Two velociraptors in RAID is pretty quick, Nic.
However....the "quality" SSD's are quicker and have been proven to be more reliable, thus far, in the long haul.
I've got several friends with the velociraptors and they love them.....however, depending upon useage? How many hours a day and how "clean" your power is....? It's been my experience, old platter drives, shouldn't be trusted for serious storage.
New drives now, platter or ssd are cheap.
Just sayin'
Also, consider the "Cloud" or similar to double back up what you value.
