not going anywhere, Slappy, Pud....

....I'm just going to sit back, count my money and watch your boy take the nation and it's economy into the next Depression. The start of the process will be this morning on the markets. You can assume, safely, that mortgages just jumped about 2% for everyone buying a home, and that most of the world is laughing at us. No, US factory jobs aren't coming back. No one's factory jobs are going to come back. That's the economy we have. And, so on, I think you will find what Obama supporters found, that implementing policy is harder than whining about it.

That said, Trump got his vote out. The turnout seems to have been down by 15 million or more, so that helped him. Likely didn't help that the dems on the far left sat it out. Congrats to the victors, and we can only hope that Trump works to unite the nation, which is clearly split about 50/50, and let's all try and remember Lincoln's words about a nation divided.

Yes change can be painful and we will push through this just as we have in the past!
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

DH, I just hope SOMEONE(and I'd very readily put the pols on the Dem side into this lot) finally finds the will and honesty to confront the 21st century economy and how to run a society in it, or we're going to get left in the dust for our bones to be picked by the parts of the world that DO figure it out.

.....either that, or no one, anywhere, figures it out in time and then it gets REAL ugly.

hopeful note. Market, after overnight craziness, is essentially flat. Either investors are stunned, or still remembering that Corporate America is doing ok for the moment. Anyhow, despite putting a tax hit onto my closing estate account that I'd hoped to avoid with a crash, everyone seems to be taking a deep breath and pondering it all. As it should be, honestly.

you really think so, Pud? A 50/50 election? They do have a certain leeway. Let's see what they can do with it. Market is up now, by about 130. Apparently, someone has figured that the investor class will be just ok. Problem is, that's why the working class is suffering. Strange days.
