I've seen pix of an A-10 missing an engine and part of a wing return to base. The engineers who build ground attack a/c seem to have their shit together.

worst A10 ive seen pics of was the one hit in gulf war 1 , piloted by that woman . the engine might have been disabled (cant remember) but the plane only had shrapnel holes (control surfaces might have gotten blasted off IIRC as well)

think ive seen video of that returning to base, one of the main gear tires was flat from shrapnel
