Re: Sucks to be you, Slick!
more than likely, Ms Slick will be 125 miles north, with the Grandkids. If daughter gets vacation days, she'd like to join me and meet you all, but given I'm the one who's interacted with you two for over a decade, she is aware that she's not exactly up to speed on half the shit we'll be laughing about. Plus, who really NEEDS to know about Slappy and Pud if they've been fortunate enough to avoid them? Have faith, one of these days, daughter and grands will be off on their own, in their own home(looks like next year) and we'll be on our grand international tour. Ontario could be on the agenda!! Still, as an old fart who darted in and out of your fair nation for weekend entertainment when living in NH, I still have trouble getting over the need for passports and shit.

He crossed the border to buy some pussy.
It's the only way he can get laid.

I hear ya, dude. Back in the day going over to the states was like walking across the street. If you caught a border guard in a bad mood he MIGHT ask to see your birth certificate. But that was pretty rare.callmeslick wrote:I still have trouble getting over the need for passports and shit.
And you didn't even have to lie about anything.
"What's the purpose for your visit to the United States today, Sir"
"I'm just jumping over to buy a bunch of cheap booze for a college party. I'll be coming back the other way in about an hour."
"Have a pleasant stay, Sir."
9/11 changed all that.
These days you gotta have a valid passport to get in or out.

Wait a minute ... did you rat him out because he's not allowed in the country or did you rat him out because he likes reacharounds?

So Slick, if we cross over at Annapolis how long will it take us to get from your place to FedEx?

Re: Sucks to be you, Slick!
back to you in a moment, whilst I calculate.
Edit--3 hours, 30 minutes, light traffic.
Game Day might be around 5 hours, but the nasty part should only be the last 15-20 miles, by my reckoning.
and, short of taking a ferry, coming over at Annapolis on the Bay Bridge is really the only sane way to go from one place to the other. Didn't realize until I looked at a map how close the West end of the bridge is to Fed Ex in Landover.
