I'm not a cat person either but for about 25 years I always kept a cat.
You see, cats go around at night killing spiders ... and Res Dog hates spiders a hell of a lot more than he dislikes cats!

you just THINK they're killing them. Actually, they are providing a safe haven to build a colony and launch their final attack. What kind of wuss is afraid of spiders(if one doesn't live in Australia, where half of them can kill you)?
