even down here, they are saying 6 inches plus(widespread panic at the food stores today). The good news for me is this storm is supposed to be one big one, instead of two little ones lasting all week with breaks. Should be fine to drive north for our traditional Supah Bowl weekend bash at the casino and my friends house. I may have to pack the longjohns, though, as the Sat/Sun low temp is projected at -16 farenheit.

having lived in Eastern NH for a few years, Larry is accurate in his observation. I've found it comical, ever since I moved from New England in 1985, how the locals both panic over snowstorms and are completely incompetent driving in the stuff.

sophmore year in Durham, we had one storm that went on for two entire days, bouncing over Great Bay, circling back and repeating. By the end, you couldn't see out the first floor windows of the dorm. What always amazed me, though, is how quickly the State could get the major roads bone dry and clear. The economics of the ski resort industry might play a driving role, there.
