so, you are a monarchist? I mean, wasn't something going to give near that point in history, Nic? Historically, whenever a post-1700 society developed that much disparity between the wealthy(nobility) and everyone else, something violent happens. What would you have preferred to happen back then, if you could somehow change history?

So now all is well there is not that much disparity between the wealthy (bastardly bankers instead of noblemen) and everyone else.

actually, no......as I've noted on these pages since I got here(2002), the gap has gotten close to the tipping point, and better be addressed quickly. This argument fails to impress some of my friends, but others get it.

snarky remark aside, Nic, you didn't address my questions. Why is Bastille Day such a low point?

my family has been here on this side of the ocean for a while. If there is some sort of Masonic meaning to it all, fill me in. He knows better than to put credence in the usual nonsense, which it sounds like you're heading toward. I'll go look for my tinfoil hat while you're fleshing out your bizarre assertion. Or, you can just keep dancing and look like a complete fool.
