BTW this is why the socialist traitors that govern most european (& the US) governments use every means at their disposal to increase immigration of people with differing cultures. The goal is to attack the people's cultures by dilluting it, or by "recognising" that new populations will be offended by the original culture (case in point, slick equating the statue of the baphomet's offensive potential to a christian statue's offensive potential to some muslums).
That's how the anti-christian masonic/satanic crowd has been attacking christianity for centuries.
It's ok, people like slick will find a way to benefit from the religious wars that are going to erupt at some point.

it was added in 1957, and never in the original wording. Look it up. It was a knee-jerk, stupid, response to fear of 'godless Communists' and frankly, should be removed from the Pledge.
What's odd is this position is seen as 'liberal'. It's one of those things that I am in complete agreement with my Dad. My Dad is NEVER going to be seen as 'liberal'....he is 93 years old, veteran of WWII, made it through the Depression. However, he is staunch about separation of Church and State, and has spent some time and money supporting those that agree when they run for office. He is a member of two groups who also are strongly opposed to the intermingling of religion and state, the Masons and the SAR(I'm in that last one). Neither is a 'liberal' organization.

I do not know anyone that wants a State sponsored Church; nothing good can come of it. With this country being mostly Judeo-Christian throughout its history and most of the Government structure founded on their principles putting reminders up around does not create a sponsored religion. All this PC crap that is flooding this country is not doing anything good for anybody.
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.
Government-coerced expression is a feature of dictatorships that has no place in a free country
