Oh, and without posting further definitions, suffice it to say that the definition of facism is exactly opposed to Communism, except both rely on a dictatorship(one of the workers, one of the political right wing). Thus, NO ONE can be fascist AND communist, by definition.

Now, to Dawg(by way of followup): What do you feel makes me 'hard core liberal'? I mean, I am not for overreach in social welfare programs, I am hardly a pacifist, I am a strong advocate of the value of corporations in a modern economy, I basically get called 'right winger' by extreme leftists, and 'left winger' by extremist righties. That status quo suits me fine, and explains my strong support of Obama(another pragmatic type). I like a guy who gets vilified by the extremists on both sides. Likely explains why he won both national elections, as well..........
At any rate, the ONLY thng I've ever advocated for here that strikes me as 'uber liberal' in some folks' eyes is Cradle to Grave Medicare. And, even on that one, my reasoning is as much around benefits to the economy by freeing corporations from the unknown of medical insurance pricing, and optimizing the workforce by not having people tied to jobs and locales they don't wish to be in merely due to the need for health care. Otherwise, my world view(global, but not the US' responsibity to police), my view of fiscal balance(match taxes to needed programs, not slash and burn), my view of tightly regulated capitalism and my view of personal responsibility(which for me extends to childrearing and gun ownership alike), are pretty much 1955 GOP positions. In other words, very traditional, moderate and leaning conservative, but with an eye towards long-term goals for the nation and the society(gasp!! Progressive thinking!).
