then it is safe to assume the pilot wanted no debris field to discover.
Ok, here's the question, lets assume he greased it in, soft belly landing in the ocean.
Both engines should come off on impact, they are designed to shear under
over load conditions.
How long would it take for the plane to sink to 15,000' in intact condition?
I guess it could still be sinking if it sank intact.

im tipping the Indian oceanis a tad rougher than an island in New York the skin would have holed and she would have gone down even if she went down easy and people got in the liferafts why werent the epirbs chirping-
