I'll grant slick and his minion that the likelyhood of the girl being shot dead by FBI agents arriving in black helicopters was very slim indeed. She didn't really take much risk at all.
Yet she's the only one in the whole school who didn't accept to be treated like cattle. Which is probably more that could be said than either of youse.

ummm, Slick didn't really comment at all on your initial post, and has no 'minions'.nicolas10 wrote:I'll grant slick and his minion that the likelyhood of the girl being shot dead by FBI agents arriving in black helicopters was very slim indeed. She didn't really take much risk at all.
thus, feel free to piss off if you insist on creating fiction. There are far better fiction writers out there.

I see no reason why not....in fact, easy terrorist access to the rail system always alarmed me more than air transit.nicolas10 wrote:So they're teaching children how to be fingerprinted like cattle, they're forcing people who hop on planes to get used to be searched. I won't be surprised when the search people who board trains in the not so far future.
I'll take your word from it, all the while wondering why you're browsing children's literature.A few weeks back, I don't remember where, I stumbled on a children book where the character found it throughly amusing to be searched at the airport.
can't see that happening here, ever, Nic....the American psyche doesn't jive with such stuff. However, should it become a reality here, you have a point. Between the extensive video surveillance systems and this chip ID acceptance, you are perfectly correct to assume that 1984 will be a near-term reality, if not already here.In discos around here it's all the rage to get a RFID chip inserted in your arm so you can go in and out at will.
1984 will be a piece of cake, really.

Nic said "I stumbled on a children book"....since yer "wondering why"...it's prolly cuz he's researching grade school literature, in a useless attempt (imho), to find yer comprehension level. @Nic, dig deeper...you're still way over his head.callmeslick wrote:I'll take your word from it, all the while wondering why you're browsing children's literature.A few weeks back, I don't remember where, I stumbled on a children book where the character found it throughly amusing to be searched at the airport.
