High Res Monitor

Post by Pudfark »

No, I'm not talking about Slick or HH's relationship with the _Dog.

I ordered, yesterday, one of those Korean PLS monitors in 2560x1440 with a 27" screen.
Knock me over with a feather....it'll be here tomorrow. Time from placing the order to delivery will be about 36 hours. That's with free shipping. Hell of a price too. Coming UPS International.

I read about their fast shipping times at NewEgg...and didn't believe them. Spending all the rest of the day putting up the wall mount brackets for it and my 24" Asus monitor...gonna use two of them.

Any of y'all got any experience with this type of high res monitor? It uses dual link dvi only. No VGA or HDMI.

Anywho...in a day or so...R_D can post them Chipz pics....and I'll be able to count her freckles. 8-)

No freckles I'm afraid.

I'll stand the test..to overclock the monitor from 60hz to 120hz...just outta respect...in case, their/they're moving... ;)

No substitute for remaining..."resolute". :D

Consider yerself invited... 8-)
I also ordered a "ROKU" to stream some content...who knows?
Maybe there is a site that has "war movies"?

I gotta get motivated and finish my wall mount for the monitors...sigh
Everything I've read about this 2560x1440 indicates it "blows away" 1080p....
Supposed to have double the pixel count...I'll report back, soonest.

I'm so low tech, I'm tickled to be shopping for loudspeakers this week for the sound room(or, as the grandkids are to regard it, "the no-no room"). Just sold a big pair of Klipsch that were 20 years old. They sounded good, but I know stuff from today sounds better. So far this week, I've auditioned 3 pairs, with 3 more tomorrow afternoon and then a decision. Got my mind blown by some French speakers(Focal) yesterday......

ok, back to that geek shit..... ;)
