that, you do!! So you, too, remember the years when they couldn't even get a rented stadium until the last minute, and every year, OJ Simpson would beat us, singlehandedly?Buzz wrote:Dude! I was born and brought up in Springfield Mass. I was a fan when they were called the Boston Patriots. I have you beat by over 10 years.
that, they did. Some of them are understandable. Not going long at the end was way too conservative, IMHO, but I suppose statistically valid. Keeping Bailey in single coverage when that Smith kid was toasting him like a marshmallow wasn't a good move, either. Manning looked,as he always does in cold weather playoff games, too trigger happy under a rush. A couple game-killer throws.Denver shouldn't have lost the game last night. They made some really stupid decisions.

That, and the Ravens are a good team. Two interceptions hurt Denver bad, and I still can't believe they didn't use those 31 seconds. What was their thought process on that decision? Why were they running the ball in OT? That takes Manning right out of the game.
That showed me they weren't a SB team.

Holy shit, Buzz. I understand that you're pissed, but you don't bail on your team just because they lost a game!
You've been going on for 2 weeks about how Denver is an unstoppable force and your home team. (didn't you even want to bet Slick a bag of gold or something like that?)
Now all of a sudden BOOM!, you're a Pats fan and always have been!
That's some serious backpedaling, dude.
What team are you going to slide over to next if Tom Brady throws a 4th quarter interception today and loses the game?

Re: NFL picks: Divisional Playoffs
I guess you don't read well. I explained it all.
I gave Denver a chance, and backed them completely. I would have made that bet too. They let me down under pressure. I don't mind a team getting eat, but they beat themselves. I don't back stupid.
I'll just back to my routes. I don't care if they lose. They've done that a lot along the way. This is the first time i've left them. All the years I was in Calif I never took a Calif team. I won't leave the Pats again. No matter what they do.

So does this mean that Slick wins the bag of gold?
