Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.
I'd pass on all of those and stick with my good ol' Radio Shack Realistic LAB-500.

the AK line on them seems pretty clear, as well. Either love them or hate them. At any rate, the PL-41 will still be the item for a while. Am getting to cartridge upgrade time again, I think. Maybe a Sonata or Benz HOMC. I still haven't done the Crites upgrade on the Fortes yet, BTW. How are you doing? Any new audio toys?
