To celebrate the release of IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds Of Prey, in conjunction with 505 Games we are giving away 2 x PS3 Thrustmaster flight sticks. All you have to do to enter this competition is post your fighter pilot call sign. Your post must be submitted in this thread on the ACWOS Forum (registration required). As long as you post your callsign, two random winners will be chosen! Closing date for the competition is Friday, 18th September!

Winners will be announced via e-mail, then submitted to 505 Games for your prize (valid mailing address required).

IL2: Birds of Prey Missions Revealed

505 Games in collaboration with 1C Company have today released more information on the mission mode in IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey. The highly anticipated WWII aerial combat title will hit the shelves on 4th September for Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and DS.

Mission mode extends the game play experience in IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds Of Prey by offering new missions that are unlocked through progress in the main campaign mode. By successfully navigating the campaign missions in each of the six scenarios, new operations become available such as night time recon, airfield assaults, escorting bombers, supply transports or troops to their destination, neutralising anti-aircraft units, low fling ground attacks, vessel air patrol and interception of enemy supply transports to name a few. These additional operations bring the mission total to 50 across the campaign and mission modes. Read more…

Site Additions

Installed the newest version of Gallery and have begun migrating some of the old content. If you don’t see any content, that’s because it’s the NSFW content. You can register for Wordpress access as a member, and you’ll be synched to the Gallery. Then simply join the NSFW group in PHPBB3. There’s really not a catch-all integration between Wordpress and PHPBB3, so this is a manual synchronization by myself or Larry.

I realize that having multiple site technologies is a pain, but a fairly inconspicuous one. Once you’re logged in, cookies should manage the rest.
