interesting,I was touching on something similar a lot of late with my environmental activists friends. You see, they wish to decry the use of fracking for oil and gas, and fight every pipeline for NG up in PA, but communicate that urgency to me via cellphones, while sitting in all-electric homes, with their electric or hybrid cars plugged in. I point out to them that unless they can join in and focus an effort to drastically lower electric demand and tech lust(as the article calls it), we simply HAVE to have the gas, oil, nuke and coal power, as they haven't gotten wind or solar anywhere near to the level of efficiency to run the US power grid.

That's not the price we pay for having tech gadgets. That's the price we pay for being cheap and lazy.
They don't
have to do it that way. But they do because it's easy and cost effective. And apparently, there's no regulation against it.

Well when their pollution will cross the largest ocean and hit the next continent i think they are kind of screwed
