A Complete Waste of Space

Did you put anthing on the German horse withe the Pommy jockey in todays race?

Wow, Fats.....I just blundered in to tell you about my adventures at Flemington! I sort of sat out the first 3 races, ventured a bit on the next couple and then put out a $10 win andm$10 place on the winner of the race before the Melbourne Cup. Made something like enough to put me up about $80 on the night after the earlier losses. Then,I put $20 win and $50 place on that freaking Tia Florentina or some such(#22). It's wierd, we don't really have many races at 2 miles over here, except for the hunt meets, which I sometimes attend. I really thought that old girl was sitting on the right conditions, got a break on the weights, had won two of last 4 over ground, etc. She may still be running for all I know. The winner had caught my eye, but I was leery of the effects of the travel and all(he did, if I recall spend enough time in your fair land to run a prep). Did you have the winner, or make a profit on the card?

weird.....I heard from fishing buds over your way that the favorite and one other horse died after the race. Tragic.

Came put just over 200 up doesnt include my bar bill at the rsl And yeah the fave died after the race was leading then faded to nothing had a heart attack back in the stall and araldo got spooked by a flag leaving the track and broke a leg when it kicked a fence got operated on that n ight buit i guess it couldnt take the weight so it was put down, hate to see what the VRC are going to be billed for that one.
