Denver -2.5 at New England

Denver's defense has yet to be truly tested. Manning is on a bum ankle. Brady has beat Manning 9 times. Manning typically doesn't play as well in the cold. It will be cold Sunday night in New England.

Brady is pissed. The "Hoodie" is pissed. The entire Pats team is pissed. Brady has all his weapons back. Brady has beat Manning 9 times (have I mentioned that?). The Pats are at home. The Pats fans are pissed. (Manning better be practicing his silent count this week)

I'll take New England.

well, that was the Hoodie's plan. Fumble like a high school team for the first half, and catch them off guard in the second, winning in OT. Brilliant!!!

by the way, last night was further proof of my longstanding conviction that the Hoodie could round up 11 guys in the Foxborough parking lot, and teach them to play NFL-level defense. Geezus! He was doing that, last night, with 5 rookies on defense, only 6 opening day starters, and 2 guys who started the season on third string. The first half points, as any viewer could see, were NOT the defense's fault. 3 fumbles inside the Pat's side of the field accounted for 17 points. So, on the night, Manning and his 'awesome' offensive machine were able to generate exactly two touchdowns...........
