this is a sailboat race, right? Shouldn't wind just be part of the scenario? That's sort of like postponing a golf match because the grass was uneven.......

Its no different than what profootball has become. They postpone games played in the rain, you can barely touch anyone anymore without getting a penalty. Evrryone wants perfect conditions.
