25 June: The Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon announced that they will be acquiring two new airplanes: "Chuckie," the well-known Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, and a Flug Werke/Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-8N replica -- both of which were, until recently, operated by Jerry Yagen's Military Air Museum. The B-17 will be making the long flight from Virginia to Oregon this weekend, weather permitting, with the -190 following shortly.

Rumor is that some big name supporters pulled the plug. Everything is for sale
including the only airworthy Mosquito.

Sad day for a GREAT flying museum (nearly all the aircraft are airworthy).

That is sad HH....a lot of wealthy famous folks have contributed to our aviation history by owning and maintaining aircraft. They are all now, dying. Seems the allure is as well. It is a sad day and future for our children and grandchildren.

SWEET,

I go to Tillamook all the time. The museum is a WW2 blimp hanger. And is the largest free standing wooden structure in the world. Great collection too.
