Re: Gaffe Romney pisses it all away.
the tax thing gets more interesting. Analysis from one web source:
"If Romney had taken all of the deductions available to him under the tax code, he would have paid closer to a 9 percent tax rate in 2011. In attempting to match up his tax rate with his prior statement, Romney is paying more in taxes — and by his very own standard — disqualifying himself from the presidency. It’s worth noting that under Romney’s tax plan, he would cut his own rates even further, and would have paid little to no taxes under Paul Ryan’s 2010 budget, which would have eliminated the capital gains tax.'
in other words, Mitts accountants cooked his claims for charitable writeoffs in order to match Mitt's campaign claim of 'at least 13%', likely after the fact. It will be curious to see how late the final forms were submitted to the IRS. OOPS! Mitt strikes again. Wait, folks, for this shit to blow up in his face.

You sound like that Lesbian on MSNBC. Isn't this a hoot? ("In othe words...).... Pick your lesbian - either Olbermann or the chick.

Speaking of gaffes - did Obama throw in the towel, hoist the white flag, turn and run or change his slogan from "Yes we can" to "No we can't"?

"I think that I've learned some lessons over the last four years and the most important lesson I've learned is that you can't change Washington from the inside."
-- President Obama in an interview with Spanish-language broadcaster Univision.

Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

cool, if all else fails, toss out an ignorant homophobic remark. By the way, Olbermann(who I refer to in Progressive blogs as the Failed Sportscaster) hasn't worked for MSNBC for a while, so I figure you mean Rachel Maddow. Smart as hell, she is a Rhode's Scholar, with a PhD from Oxford. You, on the other hand.....
Oh, and Darkhorse, I think what you cite is called HONESTY. The man had good intent, tried real hard, and realized that the only change is going to be coming when the obstructionists get elected out.

20% of what he made here. How about what he makes offshore to dodge paying taxes here?Pudfark wrote:Here's another "point"....
"Romney's average effective tax rate was 20 percent over 2 decades."
What was your average? For the last 20 years, Slick.....![]()

What, you don't like lesbians? I'm just sayin' you're acting a bit unbalanced and hormonal.
Oh, "the man" child tried real hard, but didn't improve his golf scores, and implies that he will be leaving Washington soon, so's he can do more effective changey stuff.

whistling in the dark! Obama even pulled ahead in North Carolina polling today. The only hope for the GOP is if those 37 states where they've tried to surpress the turnout come through for them. Geez, what a collection. I heard tonight about one state that has different voting dates for early voting in different districts. Somehow, the Dem districts get less time to vote. What's up with that. The whole thing seems to be backfiring, based on a couple polls I saw of white independants, who smell rats, and indicate that voter surpression of blacks pushes them TOWARD Obama.

Some demented white liberal "centrist" independants smelling their upper lips, looking around the room wondering whence came the odor.
