no, he can enforce or change regulation under the law.
No poke in the eye intended.
You mean?
Obama can ignore the law and or regulate it? Anyway he wants?
Ain't this America? or should we just change the name?
as it has always stood, the Government, at Federal and State level has a ton of regulatory control over insurance. He likely can exert that, in concert with the State Commissioners, to grandfather policies.
Funny how I've heard, well before the fact, how this law is going to fail us, kill us, bankrupt us, etc. It will do none of that, and unless it is replaced by cradle to grave Medicare(which I suspect will be a Clinton platform item), it will hang around as long as Medicare has, and be just as popular. It has already provided a lot of folks insurance who never had any, gotten a ton of middle aged people insurance who would have been denied, prevented cancellation of policies for families with children suffering severe medical issues, ensured that women get full coverage for routine womens health care and provided a mechanism to restrain price increases on policies that wasn't available before. Literally tens of millions of your fellow citizens have benefitted already. The rest eventually will, and then, the silence will be deafening and amusing, all at once.
