In france you can go to jail for debating certain "historical" "facts". which is proof that it's bogus.

says the man who can't grasp simple facts on a regular basis.
Nic, I still wonder what types of facts cannot legally be questioned in France. It's a serious question....I know Germany has certain laws around WWII/Nazi history, but wasn't aware of the French policy about questioning history.

You can be found guilty of not believing in the conclusions of the nuremberg trial. Even if you're a historian and want to do actual research instead of just believing what the chief justice of the US superme court Harlan Fiske Stone (a jew no less) qualified as a fraud.

so, why would any sane person deny the Holocaust or related crimes, which were all very well documented? I mean, beyond xenophobia and blind stupidity?
....not that I think doing so should be a felony. Hell, if stupid was a felony, I can think of one person in Texas and another in New Hampshire that would be serving life under the 'Three Strikes and Your Out' laws.

I never saw anyone deny the holocaust, however the law does mention specifically the conclusions of the nuremberg trial, which was a fraud.
Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court Harlan Fiske Stone called the Nuremberg trials a fraud. "(Chief U.S. prosecutor) Jackson is away conducting his high-grade lynching party in Nuremberg," he wrote. "I don't mind what he does to the Nazis, but I hate to see the pretense that he is running a court and proceeding according to common law. This is a little too sanctimonious a fraud to meet my old-fashioned ideas."[67]
So strictly speaking, whatever may or may not have happened, you are legally bound to believe what the victor wants you to believe. Which is disturbing. If I'm forced to believe something, be sure I won't fucking believe any single word of it.
