Arundel Militaria’s website describes the £600 Ruger SR-22 as “basically an AR-15 clone”.
So by that logic so is a lump of plastic
Plus also arent propper ar15 rifles there straight pull bolt actions because i was looking at getting one in a few years ago even though they come under our laws to a t customs dont like them because of how they look

Perhaps, Fats....a better description would be a "rotary bolt" with a straight pull..
I've never been a "fan" of that particular platform. In the 70's, I owned a 10" barrel version of it....aftermarket lower receiver, M16 upper receiver and all parts internal were M16. Meaning, with a little judicious "thumb pressure" on the safety/fire select...it was for all intents, full auto. It is now, has been for some time, illegal to use M16 internal parts on this type of gun and all lower receivers now are machined in such a way that those parts won't "drop in" and fit. It was a decent "police type" weapon....good for 150 shots and then a "jam-a-matic" without a through cleaning...
I sold it in the early 80's....for twice, what I paid for it.
If you ever find one with a "piston conversion" a la H&K 416...grab it.
