I went back to read the link by HH just to be fair to him. I was under the assumption that as a devote Atheist that he would be arguing against creation, but what I've found in his link totally supports for my position
I believe that as the Bible says that God created the heavens and the earth. I also believe that there is a degree of evolution that has and is still occurring. who would have thought that HH is a closet believer
HH wrote:The pattern of evolution since the Cambrian explosion is not nearly complete but paints a clear picture that all species are the end product of evolution from an earlier form.

Wiki wrote:The Cambrian explosion has generated extensive scientific debate. The seemingly rapid appearance of fossils in the “Primordial Strata” was noted as early as the mid 19th century,[6] and Charles Darwin saw it as one of the main objections that could be made against his theory of evolution by natural selection.

The long-running puzzlement about the appearance of the Cambrian fauna, seemingly abruptly and from nowhere, centers on three key points: whether there really was a mass diversification of complex organisms over a relatively short period of time during the early Cambrian; what might have caused such rapid change; and what it would imply about the origin and evolution of animals. Interpretation is difficult due to a limited supply of evidence, based mainly on an incomplete fossil record and chemical signatures left in Cambrian rocks.

Geologists as long ago as William Buckland (1784–1856) realised that a dramatic step-change in the fossil record occurred around the base of what we now call the Cambrian.[6] Charles Darwin considered this sudden appearance of many animal groups with few or no antecedents to be the greatest single objection to his theory of evolution. He had even devoted a substantial chapter of The Origin of Species to solving this problem.[7]
Charles Darwin considered this sudden appearance of many animal groups with few or no preceding or prior examples to be the greatest single objection to his theory of evolution.
just in case you didn't know what antecedents means :D

Before we continue I need to make something clear. Not all who claim to be Christians are. Not all churches that claim to be Christian churches are. Take the Catholic church, it is not a Christian church! There are many Christian churches that do not follow what the Bible teaches and yes all they want is your money! Before you lump me and others into one big group you should compair what is being said or done to what the Bible teaches.

Evolution vs. Creation can not be proven through science theories in either direction. For every theory you show for evolution I can show one against it. It goes nowhere.

Geological evidence IMHO through the studies and research I have done follows what is written in the Bible. If you would like the references that I used I will be glad to share them with you.

Now we come to the Bible, as sone as I grab a bite to eat and a dozen books from my closet I will be back.

Catholics are not christians?
I think you are more than off a bit.
In fact your "christian" churches split off
from the main stream catholic in about 1520.
Your church has it's foundation in catholicism.

the key word is split off. maybe you should do a little reading on Martin Luther.
Martin Luther (10 November 1483 – 18 February 1546) was a German priest and professor of theology who initiated the Protestant Reformation.[1] He strongly disputed the claim that freedom from God's punishment of sin could be purchased with money. He confronted indulgence salesman Johann Tetzel with his Ninety-Five Theses in 1517. His refusal to retract all of his writings at the demand of Pope Leo X in 1520 and the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Worms in 1521 resulted in his excommunication by the pope and condemnation as an outlaw by the emperor.

When the Roman government hijacked the church in rome and twisted the teachings to fit thier needs it ceased to be a Christian church. Roman catholicism spread to Europe as the Roman army concurred. As Cuda posted Martin Luther (and others) set the truth free from the Pope and his henchmen. Happy I know the teaching of the Bible and the Catholic church does not teach it.

Happy you don't know what being a Christian is about do you? Do you even know what the Bible is about?

Hmmmm.....

If you are forced or coerced into having "faith"...well, you don't have it.
Some folks here....seem to be very proud and profess to have none,
at least, that seems to be the way that they represent their beliefs....if any?

This I do know....them what don't have a "faith"?
Don't have anything to contribute to anybody.....
When you deny yourself..."Hope"?
You deny everyone.....to include those you say you hold the most important....
Faith brings about Hope....

Any one who has contributed anything of substance to the furtherance of our
civilization....has had Faith and Hope.
It is a fundamental part/portion of being a functional human being.

I did not read Cuda's post and never will.

Seems to me that the Catholic Church follows the
new Testament teachings of a Jew we call by the name of Jesus Christ.
That makes them Christians, not Jews, not Moslems...
So your argument that Catholics are not Christians in completely rejected.

I have read the Bible cover to cover, yes the King James version.
I have also read the book of Mormon.

The Catholic church does teach the bible, they do not encourage
people to read it. The Priest is supposed to teach from it and interpret it for you.
They may not be your brand of Christians but they are in fact Christian
and have many times more believers than all Protestant faiths combined.

Back to the main topic, so far you have posted distortion and worthless math as your evidence.
Care to post something more convincing?

Of course he doesn't. I doubt he ever read it, or researched it. It's easier for him to just put it down. He's said too many things in past threads that show he's clueless about the Bible.

See what I mean Darkhorse?

Ask him what the teachings of Jesus are? Ask him if the Old Testament plays any part in being a Christian? Ask him why Jesus died?

The problem is he can Google the answers. Try to trick him.
