Fine. But don't let your antidisestablishmentarianistic ways ruin a good forum!

Res, gratuitous multisyllabic responses serve no purpose. ;)

(that 'thud' you heard was Dawg, tripping over his pants, running to get the dictionary)

Good read...

"Americans have allowed their democracy to slip away, their culture overtaken by enormous corporations that effectively control both the governmental apparatus and the media, thus shaping life around materialism and consumption." -

Been saying this for years!

"but taking old-time religion too seriously can be extremely dangerous in the modern era"

this too!
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.
Government-coerced expression is a feature of dictatorships that has no place in a free country

Come on it reads like it's been written by Scott Burnisde. You can say by the phrasing that it's BS of the highest magnitude.

You only read one paragraph then condemned the entire article. You haven't even read the article.
So yeah, you're wrong.

and, why you're slagging on a poor hockey writer in your comparison eludes me as well.

just had some dude on FB telling me that conservatives were losing momentum in the US electorate due to the "dumming downed of the masses". Sweartogawd, you can't make stuff like this up........
