complicated story, but I had to give away 30 large in the next 6 months to legitimate charities, or get a tax hurt anyway, akin to the pain Pud feels regularly in his behind. The timing was righteous with the current border mess, so they got half. The rest went to cleaning up Chesapeake Bay, a local historical society and an art museum.
I think the 'legitimate' part may block the Canadian atheist fund from qualifying.
