Ted's passion is bow hunting.
someone told me that same thing in the bar later, but for this particular show he was pushing a TV program about 'extreme' firearms usage. I'm fine with bowhunting, in fact, the best hunters I know are serious bowhunters. They have a stealth and patience that would make most fly anglers envious(and yes, the same individuals are excellent trout anglers).

Ted has a few issues on the sportsmanship front, apparently.....

I might have reacted the same way he did. You sort of set him off with:
Ted--Did you see my presentation?
Slick--Sorry, not my cup of tea.
You could have just said...No.
No need to tell him how you felt about what he enjoys.

as Wullie noted, I am consistent about saying what I feel. No need to pussy-foot around the matter. I was, as I see it, being polite, as I wanted to call him a fucking gun nut who endangers our nation every time he opens his freaking mouth. My shopowner friend probably wouldn't have liked that, and it might have scared any kids around. And, by the way, that is why I said what I did. Kids need to know that 'outdoor sportsmanship' does NOT have to equate to firing semi-automatic weapons at baited deer, or advocating for concealed weapons at churches or concert halls or schools. If a message like Nugent's goes completely unchallenged in the venue of a Sportsman's Show, another generation of kids might not question the sanity of some of Ted's positions.

Not the least bit obvious is it?
Being polite is not one of his virtues either. They'll sort him out in VA.

The fact that Ted found Slick a complete dumbass gives Ted even more credibility. As for your 6'7" frame, just the right height for bouncing off the pavement. I'm kinda like Buzz, I don't give a fuck how big a man as.

You're so quick to judge. Of course you're perfect, and never make mistakes.

Buzz, Callmesick will not see the sarcasism in that.
He will take it as a compliment.
He is as dull as he is arrogant.
