This was written by a construction worker in Fort MacMurray- he sure makes a lot of sense.

"I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to earn that pay cheque, I work on a rig site for a Fort Mac construction project. I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare cheque because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand that I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass drinking beer and smoking dope.
Could you imagine how much money the provinces would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance cheque?"

something similar is being debated here in the States. Currently, a drug bust loses a person certain benefits, like Student Loans and Grants, some Housing subsidies, but there is some consideration of actual proof of sobriety for Welfare. I doubt they would stretch it to Social Security Disability benefits, which is where one would likely see the most money going to drugs and alcohol. The nature of the mental issues for which many receive SSDI would result in little control over such behaviors and would thus be sort of cruel to punish.

At the risk of being called a socialist I think if we're gonna help people we ougghta do what FDR did. Make the people who receive the checks work. They can clean up parks and streets with a broom and dustpan. They can also bring the kids along.

Paying welfare to drug addicts and drunks is cheap compared to what would happen if all of the sudden they had no home, food or chemicals isn't it?

When you cut off all of their welfare then those starving, DTing people are going to be either costing us more in jail, or they are going to be breaking into your home and business and taking what they need anyway, as they would not have a damn thing to lose anymore.

I have enough problems with crime right now.

It would be great to get rid of welfare abuse but you can not turn the faucet off any faster than it was turned on.

What I would like to see is if a single chick goes on welfare because she has a kid, then tie her damn tubes or something. I know a dumb bitch in my town who had a kid, got on welfare, then had two more! Now she is getting $700 a month for each kid and she smokes and drinks all day and the fucking kids are malnourished. On top of that the kids are probably going to be a stupid as the mother and whoever is knocking her up, plus they have health problems because she smoked and drank while pregnant.

I knew another single mother who raised three kids without a stitch of welfare, she worked two fucking jobs and was miserable, but she did it, set a hell of an example and two of her kids graduated college, and a third has a good factory job at an aerospace plant making helicopter parts, at least until they move the fucking factory to Mexico....

This is pathetic. Overpopulation is bad enough, but doing it with fucking goddamned trash is incredible. This is why the United States is a laughingstock and probably the dumbest population on the planet, and why it is probably fucking doomed.
