Re: Feck
Buzz, I hope the healing progresses. To send you a vicarious bit of fishing, I caught my first trout of the season on a dry fly yesterday. Two, in fact, on #16 Red Quills. Everything to this point had been below the surface, but they are starting to come up for little mayflies and caddis here in PA. Get well soon!!!

yeah, the 'Mother's Day' caddis, as some call it to your north, where it comes a bit later. I have a good pattern for those, designed for the Eastern variation, but a few customers out your way have bought them and done well. You might like the name: Coyote Ugly.
Re: Feck
Good name. The popular fly for this hatch is the black foam caddis. I hate it, because I like natural materials, but it does work good.
Usually what I do is fish about 1/4 mile ahead of the hatch. I still gets lots of fish, but I avoid the swarm that gets in my ears nose and mouth. Caddis taste like crap.
