BUT it only takes 70% of the value to consider the car a total loss, there are many factors involved inc salvage value of the vehicle.

That's what I was told. If it's over $6300 in repairs they give me the insured value.

I heard from the insurance company, they've got it scheduled for $4k worth of PDR (Painless Dent Removal). Only problem is on older and thicker sheet metal as is in my car it just never looks right. I'm going to take it to a body shop and get estimates. Hopefully we can keep it under the number for totaling the vehicle. Otherwise I take the cash, put in another $10 and make payments for 5 years on another $10k-$15 for a replacement vehicle. Which sucks cuz I don't have any payments whatsoever. House is paid for. Vehicles are paid for.

DAYUMM, I'd think 4K would cover a lot of real dent repair.

I haven't priced any body work lately though.
